Two people are currently hospitalized and one person is detained in connection with an early morning disturbance that resulted in gunfire this morning at a Destin nightspot.
Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to Bric A Brac at 824 Highway 98 around 4:18 a.m. A disturbance around closing time led to multiple shots being fired outside the establishment and people fleeing. Deputies immediately worked to set up a perimeter and brought in a K9 to assist with tracking.
Two people were taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. One individual has a serious injury, but it is not believed to be life-threatening. The second also reportedly has a non-life-threatening injury.
Deputies have one person detained for questioning and additional information on the incident will be released at the appropriate time, as it is confirmed.
