A traffic stop for faulty equipment on a pickup truck Tuesday evening led to two arrests and the confiscation of baggies of cocaine and methamphetamine. After the stop John Sims Parkway by an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputy, an OCSO K9 alerted to the presence of the odor of narcotics coming from the truck. A baggie of cocaine and a baggie of methamphetamine were found in the center console. The driver, 41-year old Michael Bratton of Defuniak Springs, and the passenger, 52-year old Robert Coltman of Valparaiso, are charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and trafficking in methamphetamine. The pair denied ownership or knowledge of the drugs.
