The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting death of a Fort Walton Beach area man early this morning.
The victim is identified as 39-year old Jimmy Lee Dodd of 4 Marty Lane in Wright.
Deputies responded to Dodd’s mobile home around 5:30 this morning after another resident placed a 9-1-1 call for help.
Dodd’s body was located outside the trailer. Investigators say he had been shot multiple times. They are currently in the process of interviewing various witnesses. Several residents in the area reported hearing gunshots in the neighborhood around the time of the crime.
An autopsy will be conducted by Florida’s District One Medical Examiner’s Office.
