In conjunction with the City of Destin, The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a Safety/DUI Check Point on Airport Road in Destin this Friday, June 27th, between the hours of 10:00 P.M. and midnight. Motorists traveling south on Airport Road may be stopped and checked for violations of State Law, as well as County and City Ordinances. Driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol continue to be a major contributing factor in traffic crash occurrences. The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and The City of Destin are committed to providing safe roadways, and Safety/DUI Check Points are one of many tools utilized to achieve this goal.
The OCSO encourages everyone to drive carefully, wear your safety belts, and PLEASE plan ahead and do not drink and drive.
