Sergeant Tony Kelly & K-9 Rico

 

Sergeant Tony Kelly and K-9 RICO (Belgian Malinois)

Sergeant Kelly began his career with the OCSO in 2005. He has worked a variety of assignments within the agency, to include Patrol, Beach/Marine, Community Policing, K9 (as a handler), Investigations and most recently has returned to K9 as the unit supervisor.

Sergeant Kelly and K9 Rico began their career together in May 2017, after successful completion of training and certification. K9 Rico is Sergeant Kelly’s second dual purpose canine he has worked for the agency. His first canine, K9 Drako, was retired in May 2014, when Sergeant Kelly promoted into investigations.

K9 Rico is a dual purpose canine, Patrol and Narcotics, certified through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and the United States Police Canine Association (USPCA).
