The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating smash and grab car burglaries that took place outside fitness centers in Destin this week during morning hours.
In the first occurrence on the morning of February fourth, someone broke out windows of three vehicles and stole purses while the car owners were inside Destin Health and Fitness on Commons Boulevard. The photo on the right shows a smashed window of one of the victim’s cars.
The picture of the Mitsubishi Eclipse Crossover shown on the left was taken during a time when multiple similar car burglaries took place at Orange Theory Fitness on Furling Lane in Destin yesterday morning, February 5th. Deputies believe the Mitsubishi could be connected to one or both incidents.
