Traffic Enforcement Grant

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce it has received a $30,000 grant from the Florida Department of Transportation to help address speeding and aggressive driving.

Sgt. Jason Fulghum says the money will be used to supplement traffic enforcement in problem areas throughout Okaloosa County through September 30, 2019.

Traffic safety is a top priority and everyone must play a role. In 2018 the OCSO conducted nearly 20,000 traffic stops, responded to more than 6,600 traffic crashes, and received more than 790 reports of intoxicated drivers as well as 202 reports of road rage.
