A thirteen month old Niceville toddler is in critical condition with a grim prognosis following a drowning at a home near Niceville Monday afternoon.
Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies and other first responders rushed to a home on Calloway Drive after receiving a 9-1-1 call around 1:05 p.m.
The child, who had been pulled from a swimming pool, was reportedly unconscious and not breathing as CPR was administered, but had a weak pulse.
He was initially taken to Twin Cities Hospital in Niceville before being transferred to a Pensacola hospital.
The OCSO is investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
