Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to an apartment complex on Norwood Court in Fort Walton Beach around 6:30 p.m. last night after receiving a call from a pizza delivery driver who stated that a man had just tried to rob her.
The victim said she had just delivered the pizza to an apartment and as she returned to her vehicle she heard a noise behind her and quickly got into her vehicle and locked the doors. A black male wearing a mask, a black button down jacket and holding a gun approached her driver’s door. The suspect attempted to break the victim’s window with the gun but he fled when the victim started honking the horn.
An OCSO K-9 attempted to track the suspect but was unable to locate him.
An active investigation is underway.
