The final two of four suspects wanted by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office in connection with a cold case homicide from 2005 are now in custody. Suspected trigger man 44-year old Victor Stanton of Fairhope Alabama is being held in the Dallas Jail in Dallas Texas on an OCSO warrant for the shooting death of Luis Gonzalez at his Monahan Drive apartment near Fort Walton Beach. Stanton was booked on Tuesday of this week. Investigators say the shooting was part of a drug-related home invasion robbery attempt September 12th, 2005. Co-defendant 42-year old Bennie Richardson of Loxley Alabama is currently at the Okaloosa County Jail in Crestview after turning himself in on September 4th. Two other defendants, Adrian Watson of Fort Walton Beach and Marcus Snowden of Daphne Alabama, had been located previously. OCSO Investigators say the development of new witness testimony and information in the cold case led to the break needed, culminating now in four arrests nearly 16 years after the death of Gonzalez.
