A search warrant executed today by the Okaloosa County Multi-Agency Drug Task Force led to the seizure of trafficking amounts of fentanyl, heroin, and marijuana inside a Fort Walton Beach area apartment.
The resident, 28-year old Maurice Simmons, was arrested on multiple felonies.
The search warrant at his Pelham Road apartment turned up several illegal substances in the kitchen cabinets, including a gram of cocaine and a Crown Royal Bag containing 177 grams of fentanyl and four grams of heroin. 323 grams of marijuana were located in a kitchen drawer.
Simmons’ charges include Trafficking in Fentanyl, Trafficking in Heroin, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Cocaine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The Okaloosa County Multi-Agency Drug Task Force, represented by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Walton Beach Police Department, and Crestview Police Department, focuses on ridding the streets of dangerous and deadly illegal narcotics.
