Caldwell Lewis Lee Mug Shots

Three teenagers arrested by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office July 29th for carrying a concealed firearm, loitering and prowling now face additional charges connected to the theft of that gun from a car.

18-year old Mario Lee Jr., 14-year old Marquette Lewis, and 15 year old Jaimie Caldwell of the Fort Walton Beach area were first arrested on multiple charges after being found at sitting in a stairwell at an apartment complex on Hunt Club Street around 5 a.m. A concerned neighbor said the teens did not live there and deputies say they could give no reason for being in the area. Inside a camouflage backpack in the middle of the teens was a Glock 43 handgun.

A subsequent investigation revealed the weapon had been reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway on Peter Court near Fort Walton Beach. Also taken in that car burglary was cash and a white iPhone wall charger with the words “Sarah’s Phone” written on it in black marker. That charger was also found in the backpack along with cash and loose change.

The latest charges filed against Lee, Lewis, and Caldwell include armed burglary, grand theft of a firearm and petty theft.

When taken into custody Lee was also served an active warrant for grand theft of a motor vehicle in connection with stealing a 2018 Ford Explorer from a home on Indian Trail in Destin June 18th.
