WINGATE ARREST REPORT
A man wanted in connection with an armed robbery last July is now in custody after being spotted by an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputy during a traffic stop.
22-year old Dion Latwon Wingate of Green Acres Boulevard was a passenger in a car stopped on Scottsdale Court early this morning.
The deputy recognized Wingate, who had an active warrant for the armed robbery of the Shell Gas Station on Green Acres Boulevard July 22nd of this year.
Investigators say Wingate had gone into the store around 3 a.m. with a revolver and demanded money.
Along with armed robbery he is also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
