Hensley & Johnson Arrest Reports

Confronting a burglar can be a very dangerous business, and law enforcement always advises citizens to avoid it, but a Fort Walton Beach woman who came home to find items stolen yesterday went out to find two suspicious people she had spotted earlier in her neighborhood. The Pinedale Way resident who had gone out for a morning jog arrived home to find her cell phone, change, and credit cards taken. The thieves had entered through a half open garage door.

The 55-year old woman drove around the neighborhood looking for the suspects. She located one of them and demanded her belongings back. The individual, later identified as 20-year old Hunter Lee Johnson of Fort Walton Beach, handed over her cell phone but denied taking her credit cards. He then ran off while the victim called the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office. Arriving deputies say the woman told them she had just seen the pair. A traffic stop was conducted on their car. Deputies found Johnson inside along with the driver, 19-year old Cameron Wayne Hensley of Fort Walton Beach. Johnson admitted he had gone in the woman’s home while Hensley acted as a lookout. Both are now charged with burglary and theft.
