The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant this morning at 598 Fifth Avenue in Crestview. Sheriff’s Investigators had information that this location was being used for the sale and use of controlled substances, including crack cocaine. The location is described as a “smoke house” and was raided this morning.
59-year old Vernon Maurice Lee, address unknown, and 55-year old Charles Howard Coleman of 215 Oglesby Avenue in Crestview, are charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Investigators say the location was a public safety concern because it is directly across the street from a licensed home day care and within a block of Richbourg Middle School.
