Claudia Quillian

A woman in a hurry to find her cell phone ended up in the Okaloosa County jail instead after she was pulled over by an Okaloosa County deputy for running a stop sign and having an expired tag.

The 60-year old driver, Claudia Quillian of Panama City, gave the deputy a false name and fake social security number after the traffic stop Saturday night on Legendary Drive in Destin. Once Quillian’s true identity was determined, the deputy also learned Quillian had three prior convictions for driving with a suspended or revoked license in Georgia and Florida. She found marijuana lighters, and burnt brillo pads which tested positive for cocaine, inside the vehicle. When booked into the Okaloosa County jail, employees discovered a crack pipe concealed in Quillian’s privates. It also tested positive for cocaine. Quillian is charged with providing a false name and social security number, possession of pipe making equipment, possession of marijuana, driving with a suspended license with three prior convictions, introduction of contraband to a detention facility, and possession of paraphernalia. In addition, due to other items located in Quillian’s car, the investigation is continuing.
