The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a male’s body was discovered washed ashore today on a beach west of Destin’s East Pass.
The body was spotted in front of the Eglin beach club area around 7:40 Sunday morning by a boat captain. A forensic autopsy will be conducted by the Medical Examiner’s Office to attempt to determine the person’s identity and manner of death.
The OCSO will release additional information once a positive identification has been made.
