MUELLER ARREST REPORT

A Fort Walton Beach teen is the first suspect charged in connection with a rash of weekend BB gun attacks and vandalism.

18-year old Thomas Mueller was arrested today by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of being a principal to aggravated battery.

Mueller admitted to OCSO deputies he was driving his Jeep while others teens fired upon people and property.

One victim, a 61-year old man, was riding his bicycle on Beal Parkway Friday night around 10:30 when he heard a loud pop. He says he heard several more pops before feeling something strike him in the right shoulder. He’d been hit with a BB.

Mueller is currently charged in connection with that crime and additional charges are pending.

The OCSO responded to a call of another individual being struck as he walked on Lovejoy Road, as well as more than sixteen reports of extensive property damage from windows being shot out of vehicles around the Fort Walton Beach area. The Fort Walton Beach Police Department had similar calls of vandalism.

The investigation is continuing and additional arrests are expected.
