The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is excited to announce we are joining “Neighbors” public safety app in our ongoing efforts to connect with residents and boost the safety of our communities by helping solve crimes:
Neighbors Public Service by Ring (publicsafety.ring.com) allows you, the user, to share photos, videos, and information related to local crime and safety incidents so fellow residents can stay informed.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office can view what local residents post publicly to Neighbors and offer relevant updates or safety alerts to help you stay informed.
You do NOT need a Ring device to join Neighbors. Anyone with a smartphone can download the app to receive updates, and users have the option to share photos or videos from any device.
To download, just text “staysafe” to 555888 or visit the App Store.
The content is monitored to ensure only crime and public-service related topics are posted.
