The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two armed robberies Sunday evening (February 16th) that could be the work of the same two individuals. The first took place around 9:20 p.m. as a pizza delivery person for Hungry Howie’s attempted to deliver food at a home on Placid Drive. He says a black male holding a rifle came at him from a wooded area across the street, accompanied by a white male with a knife.

The black male grabbed the pizza bag and took his cash. The victim says both appeared to be between 18 and 25 years of age. Within thirty minutes from that report, the OCSO learned a black male armed with a rifle and a white male robbed the Subway restaurant at 231 Racetrack Road. Both were wearing black ski masks.

The clerk says the black male pointed the rifle at him and demanded money, then took
some cash and they both left.

He says the man was wearing a black long sleeved shirt or jacket and black jeans. He also described the white male as wearing a grey bomber style jacket with black fabric on the shoulders and black jeans, along with white Nike tennis shoes with a black “swoosh” on them.

Anyone with information on the armed robberies is asked to contact the Okaloosa
County Sheriff’s Office at 850-651-7400 or Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 850-863-TIPS.
