The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has charged a Mary Esther teenager in connection with a home invasion robbery and fight at a home in Fort Walton Beach February 16th. The victims say they were inside their mobile home with their 14 month old child at 1302 Green Acres Avenue when a man came in their bedroom armed with a silver and black revolver. He demanded money and hit the female in the face, breaking her nose. He also pistol-whipped the male victim, leaving a large deep gash on his head. The female then used a long, two pronged fork to stab the suspect, who lost several items of clothing during the struggle. The intruder left the scene without taking anything. Investigators were able to develop 19-year old Phillip Latroy Thomas II of 210 Argyle Court in Mary Esther as a suspect and both victims identified Thomas as the perpetrator during a photo lineup. Thomas is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, battery, and home invasion robbery with a weapon.
