Update: Victim identified as 22-year old Jacob Montague of 203 Dominica Circle.
A Niceville area man says he was shot in the foot during a home invasion robbery Friday.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office was called to Twin Cities Hospital around 3:15 p.m. after the victim showed up for treatment.
He says a man had pushed in his front door at 203 Dominica Circle and demanded money a short time earlier. When he couldn’t provide enough to satisfy the robber, he says the man hit him in the face and shot him in the foot before fleeing with some cash.
The victim’s girlfriend drove the victim to the hospital.
He described the armed robber as a black male between the ages of 20 and 25 with shoulder length dreads pulled back in a ponytail. He says the man was wearing a white T-shirt and khaki shorts.
