Earl Blake Stapleton
A Fort Walton Beach man is charged with felony child abuse after striking an 11-year old girl in the nose with the back of his hand and causing a nosebleed and bruising.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office served a warrant on 32-year old Earl Blake Stapleton of 1853 Whispering Oaks Lane March 22nd in connection with the incident. The child’s teacher and OCSO School Resource Officer made contact with the victim on March 16th after noticing she was visibly upset, had a swollen nose with blood stains on it, as well as blood stains on her pants. The girl reported Stapleton had struck her twice earlier that morning and that her nose was “really hurting”.
She was taken to the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center in Niceville for a medical evaluation with a Child Protection Team medical provider.
