A fight between two Crestview men just before midnight last night has left one of the participants unconscious and unresponsive in a Pensacola hospital. 32- year old Doug Dockery was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital with head injuries.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has charged 40-year old Martin McDonald of 6103 Magnolia Lane with aggravated battery. Witnesses say the pair had been drinking for several hours prior to the fight at a friend’s home at 401 Cooper Street. They say McDonald got upset with Dockery and began shoving his head into the wall. He then threw Dockery on the ground and began punching him in the head. When Martin left, Dockery tried to follow him. He walked down the street calling for help. Deputies found Dockery on his back in the front yard of 418 Cooper Street. He was covered in blood and having difficulty breathing.
Martin was located on East Robinson Avenue. He told investigators Dockery had taken a swing at him so he hit him back. Martin had no visible injuries
