Approximately 48 hours after Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a theft in progress at a Destin cosmetics store, a call for the same crime at the same store came in to the Communications Unit.

In the first incident July 17th , three individuals from Georgia were captured after they took thousands of dollars in items from the Ulta store on Emerald Coast Parkway, ran from deputies, and were later located in woods in Walton County.

Tuesday OCSO deputies were once again called to the store, where 29-year old Dontavious Wyckoff and 35-year old Deboriah Scott, both of Montgomery Alabama, were charged with petty theft over $300 after surveillance video confirmed allegations the pair had been putting items of perfume down their pants.

Wcykoff’s charge rises to the level of a felony because its his third subsequent offense. He has multiple convictions in Alabama for shoplifting and theft of property, from Louisiana for felony theft, and in Georgia for shoplifting.
