A coordinated investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies has resulted in the arrests of two suspects believed to be connected to a series of vehicle burglaries spanning multiple jurisdictions.

On Wednesday, July 22, 2026, investigators with the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office were contacted by the Bay County Sheriff’s Office and the Panama City Beach Police Department regarding a vehicle believed to have been involved in multiple vehicle burglaries. During those incidents, the suspects allegedly stole a firearm, numerous credit and gift cards and other personal property.

At approximately 12:30 p.m., the suspect vehicle was detected by Flock Safety cameras in the Destin area. Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office East District investigators, working in partnership with Alpha East Patrol deputies, immediately began searching for the vehicle.

At approximately 1:00 p.m., Investigator Bininger and Deputy Grundin located the unoccupied suspect vehicle in the parking lot of a Destin store on Emerald Coast Parkway. As the suspects exited the store, they were safely taken into custody.

Arrested were 39-year-old Khristopher Coker and a 16-year-old female. Both face charges related to the investigation. Additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.

On July 23, 2026, investigators executed a search warrant on the suspect vehicle. The search resulted in the recovery of the stolen firearm, numerous stolen credit cards and gift cards, and additional property believed to have been taken during the burglary spree.

The investigation remains active as investigators continue working with the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, Panama City Beach Police Department, and other partner agencies to identify additional victims and connect recovered property to reported crimes.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office commends the outstanding teamwork of all agencies involved, as well as the use of Flock technology, which played a significant role in quickly locating the suspect vehicle.
