The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who stole a car at gunpoint in Baker this evening. An officer with the Crestview Police Department stopped the car in Crestview a short time later, but the driver reportedly refused to get out and took off, heading south on State Road 85.
During a pursuit, the suspect crashed his car near the Fantasy Lounge on Lewis Turner Boulevard and took off on foot. A search is currently underway in that surrounding area. No one was reported injured in the carjacking. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
