The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a Crestview woman said she woke up around midnight June 13th to find two teens inside her home.
The 44-year old says she awoke to her dog barking at the home she shares with her 18-year old son at 1221 E. Chestnut Ave. When she checked around the house, she says she found two males in their late teens inside. One of them pointed a handgun at her and struck her in the face, demanding to see her son. The pair rummaged through different areas but apparently left empty handed.
The armed individual is described as a black male, about 5’9″ tall and 130 pounds. He has a medium complexion and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
The second intruder is also described as a black male, about six feet tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds. He was carrying a duffel bag and had a burgundy bandana covering a portion of his face.
A witness also reported seeing a white car in the area at the time.
The investigation is continuing.
