A Mary Esther woman told the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office said she believes someone put drugs in her drink the night of January 17th and then sexually assaulted her in her car.

The victim was found crying in her vehicle at 205 Marler Street in Fort Walton Beach around 7:15 a.m. January 18th after her boyfriend used a “Find my iPhone” app installed in her phone to try to locate her.

He said he had become concerned after she had not returned home since January 15th after leaving to visit friends. Once he located the car he went home to call the Sheriff’s office.

When deputies arrived the woman was in the car crying and told them she had been approached the night before by a man she knew. She said he pulled a gun, threatened her child and sexually assaulted her.

She was taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center for evaluation.
