21-year old Hunter Carmichael was taken into custody today after a K9 track involving K9 teams from the Florida Highway Patrol, Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, Walton County Sheriff’s Office, and Okaloosa Correctional Institutution.
When OCSO deputies tried to serve Carmichael’s felony warrants this morning, he took off into a wooded area behind his home at 391 Dove Run in Holt. He was apprehended about four hours later at 4088 East Street in Holt.

He says Carmichael fired a bullet into the back of his vehicle from approximately 50 feet away. A bullet was found lodged in the tailgate.
