On September 20th, members of the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Section executed a residential search warrant at 966 Scenic Oak Lane near Fort Walton Beach.
The search warrant was obtained and executed, following the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit receiving a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. As a result of the investigation and search warrant, 62-year-old Robert Leroy ENGELKENS was arrested for twenty (20) counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
Additional investigative efforts have since revealed hundreds of images of child pornography stored on electronic devices that were seized from ENGELKENS.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children CyberTip line is the nation’s centralized reporting system for the online exploitation of children. The public is encouraged to make reports of suspected online enticement of children for sexual acts, child sexual molestation, child sexual abuse material, child sex tourism, child sex trafficking, unsolicited obscene materials sent to a child, misleading domain names, and misleading words or digital images on the internet, through the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and/or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (https://www.missingkids.org/gethelpnow/cybertipline).
