Four teens ranging in age from 13 to 16 were arrested by Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies in Crestview this morning after deputies responded to reports of suspicious activity around 5 a.m.

A homeowner on Richburg Lane says he noticed a flashlight outside his window and saw two teens burglarizing his pick-up truck. When he went outside the pair ran away. In viewing his home security cameras he could see two males had been inside his truck and three other teens appeared to be acting as look-outs in the road.

The victim was missing a small amount of cash from his truck. His wife’s vehicle was missing keys and a debit card.

A short time later deputies spotted five teens in the Old Spanish Trail Park off Stillwell Boulevard. All tried to flee, but with the assistance of the Crestview Police Department four were taken into custody. 15-year old Noah Lemieux of Crestview is charged with burglary, petty theft, and resisting an officer. Warrants are being sought on the other male in the truck who managed to get away. The three remaining teens, a 13 year old girl, and two boys ages fourteen and sixteen, are charged with accessory to burglary, as well as resisting an officer.

The investigation continues.

Our sincere thanks to Crestview Police Department for its assistance.
