A Culp Avenue resident killed last night after someone tried to force their way into his residence has been identified as 35-year old Edgar Jennings III. Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office investigators responded to 888 Culp Avenue, #4 after receiving a 911 call of a home invasion attempt. Callers reported hearing gunfire and Jennings’ body was found a short time later near a door to the residence. The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office investigation is active and ongoing and additional information will be released as developments warrant.
