FOSTER ARREST REPORT
Crestview man facing OCSO warrants for reckless driving and fleeing from law enforcement before crashing into a wall, was found and arrested on those charges and others after attempting to steal an Air Soft Pistol, a knife, and other items from Walmart two days later.
33-year old Ian Foster had been identified as the man who fled from the FHP and an OCSO deputy at speeds of more than 100 miles an hour on State Road 85 March 23rd. Foster crashed his vehicle into a concrete wall behind a hotel on South Ferdon Boulevard before fleeing the scene.
He had active warrants for fleeing and eluding, hit and run with property damage, and driving with a suspended license in connection with that incident.
On March 25th, a loss prevention officer at Walmart on Beal Parkway spotted a man later identified as Foster get a black backpack off a shelf and then put an Air Soft pistol, CO2 cartridges and BB’s, along with a knife and black spray paint in it before leaving out the garden area without paying. When confronted, Foster dropped the backpack and ran.
An OCSO deputy spotted him a short time later on Beal Parkway and made contact. Foster initially gave a false name.
He is now charged with theft, resisting arrest without violence, providing a false name to a law enforcement officer, hit and run – leaving the scene with property damage, fleeing and eluding, and driving with a suspended license, third offense.
Foster also had additional outstanding warrants for failure to appear on a DUI charge, license plate not attached, driving with a suspended license and shoplifting.
