The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic accident that took place on Highway 98 in Destin shortly before 2 p.m. today.
A female passenger in a black Chevrolet Impala, which collided with a delivery truck at the intersection of Crystal Beach Drive, died this evening at Sacred Heart Hospital of the Emerald Coast. Her husband, the driver of the car, is in critical condition at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. Their names are being withheld, pending the process of locating and notifying family members. The driver of the truck was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
