A 28-year old Crestview man remains in critical condition after being shot once in the head last night at a home on Chestnut Avenue. Joshua Armstrong of 2210 James Lee Boulevard was airlifted to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola Sunday evening.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office was called to 1250 East Chestnut Avenue around 6:34 p.m. after getting a 9-1-1 call that Armstrong had been shot inside the home.
An intense search for the shooter was conducted in the area, which was also temporarily locked down as deputies canvassed the neighborhood. A motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
The investigation is continuing and additional details will be released as warranted.
