OCSO Judicial Services today put up a weeklong static display at the Okaloosa Courthouse Annex Extension (1940 Lewis Turner Blvd). The Static Display is designed to bring public awareness to the dangers of leaving children and pets in hot cars. Temperatures can climb to lethal levels within just minutes. For the display, a parked OCSO patrol car contains a stuffed dog and baby doll, along with a huge thermometer to measure temperature and humidity. Deputy Steve Baldwin also put together a display board featuring several local and national stories involving children and pets left in cars, some with tragic outcomes. So please – Look Before You Lock!
