An OCSO deputy responding to a report of a man exposing himself and committing a lewd act in public Wednesday afternoon in the Holt area arrested the individual after he resisted, assaulted deputies, and continued combative behavior during the arrest.
Deputies responded to the area of Third Avenue near Johnson Street around 12:30 p.m. after receiving complaints of indecent exposure connected to a man along the roadway.
When the first deputy arrived he observed 31-year old Xavier Stachowiak lying on the ground committing a lewd act.
When told he was under arrest Stachowiak refused commands, resisted, and attempted to strike a deputy with his elbow as well as spit at deputies, requiring the use of an anti-spit mask.
After he was subdued he was taken to the Okaloosa County Jail. Two witnesses signed affadavits outlining what they witnessed.
Stachowiak is charged with three counts of battery on a law enforcement officer, one count of resisting an officer with violence, two counts of exposure of sexual organs, and disorderly intoxication.
