LANDVIEW DRIVE SHOOTER IDENTIFIED AND CHARGED
Teddy Lee Lanieux
The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office has charged a
Fort Walton Beach man involved in a July 1st shooting incident with aggravated
battery and affray. 23-year old Teddy Lee Lanieux of 512-C Landview Drive was
arrested at the Okaloosa County Jail where he was being held on other charges in
connection with the incident.
Investigators say the altercation on Landview Drive
involved two rival street gangs. After a fight involving numerous individuals on
the street, witnesses say Lanieux went back to his residence. He then came out
with a firearm, went to the first landing, and began shooting at subjects down
the street. Return gunfire erupted. Brandie Rachelle Hagler was trying to flee
the scene with her boyfriend when she was shot in the left arm. Hagler, as well
as another witness,
identified Lanieux as the shooter.
Investigator Bob Grappone says the investigation is
continuing.
