Reference the News Release a few moments ago on the search for a weekend armed robbery suspect: The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office has in fact arrested a suspect in those cases, and another.

The additional supplement outlining the arrest had not yet been added to the system at the time of the release.

Charged with robbery with a weapon is 36-year old David Charles Mackoff, no known address. Along with the two armed robberies noted in the previous news release, investigators say Mackoff also robbed a third business, the AOC Food Mart, 306 Racetrack Road, on Sunday, December 21st, around 5:15 a.m. A witness spotted him getting into a dark green Volkswagen. Deputy Sheriff Matt Abbott then spotted a car matching the suspect vehicle. When Deputy Abbott initiated a traffic stop, the driver tried to take off,  but was detained and arrested by multiple officers who converged on the scene.

Deputies say Mackoff had a large amount of currency in his pockets and an axe was found inside the car.
