OCSO INVESTIGATES HOME INVASION ROBBERY
The Okaloosa County
Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed home invasion robbery that took place
around 4:23 a.m. July 14 at 183 Miramar Drive. A male and female were injured
during the robbery after being struck in the head. They were taken to Fort
Walton Beach Medical Center for treatment.
The Sheriff’s
Office received a call from a homeowner on Miramar Drive who reported hearing
someone screaming for police. A deputy who arrived on the scene says subjects
inside 183 Miramar broke out a back window and fled. A perimeter was set up and
a K-9 unit was called to the scene as well. Deputies then also responded to an
area around Stonehenge Drive around 5 a.m. after receiving reports of several
suspicious people running around the neighborhood.
Anyone with
information on the home invasion robbery is asked to contact the Okaloosa County
Sheriff’s Office at 850-651-7400 or Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at
850-863-TIPS.
