OCSO SEEKS TOM THUMB ROBBER
The Okaloosa County
Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery of the Tom Thumb convenience store
at 1605 Florence Avenue in Fort Walton Beach. The clerk says a man came in
around 1:40 a.m. June 10th , went to the beer cooler, and then set
two bottles on the counter along with a crumpled up lottery ticket.
A short time later he came around the counter and demanded money. He
managed to get the register open, grab some cash, and leave with the store cell
phone. No weapon was displayed.
The clerk says the
same individual had been in the store about two hours prior to the robbery.
He’s described
as a short black male with a beard, between the ages of 25 and 35.
He was wearing a white T-shirt, another shirt around his neck that
appeared to be a jersey with a name and number on it, and blue or black shorts.
Anyone with
information on the robbery is asked to contact the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s
Office at 850651-7400 or Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 850-863-TIPS.
