DRUG TASK FORCE SHUTS DOWN INDOOR MARIJUANA OPERATION

The Okaloosa County Drug Task Force (DTF) has raided another marijuana indoor grow operation.

On 03-05-08, the DTF executed a search warrant at 428 Cooper St. in Crestview.

The search warrant was obtained during an investigation into the illegal sale of controlled substances.

Once inside, investigators discovered an indoor hydroponic marijuana grow lab, (MDMA) “Ecstasy”, cocaine, marijuana and a trafficking amount of methadone.

Approximately a half pound of marijuana was found, as well as a grow lab in a child’s closet.  Deputies also noted that there were bare electrical wires and 2 full/active large CO2 tank canisters, and numerous chemicals used for the grow operation in that closet.  A commercial self-contained grow lab was located within the master bedroom.   Smoking devices and other drug paraphernalia was located throughout the house.

The house residents, 25-year old Stephen Fee and 26-year old Sarah Fee, are charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Cultivation of Marijuana, Possession of MDMA, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Controlled Substance:  Methadone and Child Neglect/Endangerment.

Sarah Fee had been arrested at the Crestview Courthouse. The case was concluded over the weekend when Stephen Fee surrendered to authorities.

It was the DTF’s second bust of an indoor marijuana grow operation this year. The first occurred on February 5th at 28 Country Club Drive in Destin. Forty-three pot plants were discovered inside a converted closet at the home.
