LAUREL HILL MAN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED
MURDER
The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office has charged a Laurel Hill man with
attempted second-degree murder. 28-year old Jonathan James Henson of 8124 5th
street is accused of stabbing Jeremy Williams of Florala, Alabama in the side of
the head with a knife. Williams was able to walk to a nearby convenience store
for help.
Deputies say Williams lost large amounts of blood and was taken to North
Okaloosa Medical Center in critical condition. When they went to Williams'
home, Jonathan Henson and his brother were there and made incriminating
statements about the crime before becoming aware of their presence. They also
found three knives in Jonathan Henson's pockets, including one with blood on
the blade.
In addition, deputies found a trail of blood from the victim's location
to the street in front of 8124 5TH Street.
