VISITOR
SMOKES CRACK, STOPS BY DRUG TASK FORCE OFFICE
A 30-year
old Fort Walton Beach woman who said she had information about narcotics
activity to share with drug task force investigators at the Okaloosa County
Sheriff's Office admits smoking crack right before she came in their building.
They later found drugs in her car in the parking lot as well.
Investigators say Kristen Paige Lowery appeared to be under the influence
of narcotics when she came inside the Okaloosa County Multi-Agency Drug Task
Force Office Thursday. When they asked her what type drug she was using, Lowery
replied "crack." When they asked the last time she'd used crack, she told
them she'd smoked some right before she got there.
Investigators then ran a check on Lowery and learned she had an active
warrant for writing worthless checks.
She was arrested on that warrant. When deputies searched the car she'd
driven to the Drug Task Force building, they found crack cocaine and various
paraphernalia inside, including scales covered with cocaine residue.
Lowery was booked on additional charges of possession of cocaine and
possession of drug paraphernalia - and taken to the Okaloosa County jail in
Crestview.
