Plenty of companies now use hi-tech methods to try to play matchmaker. And although Internet dating may be a great way to connect with people who have common interests, you should always make safety your top priority.

That's why the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office Crime Prevention Unit is offering an Internet Dating Safety Class. You can learn some potential risks of internet dating and get advice on ways to meet people safely.

Crime Prevention Specialist Kathleen Larney will have a presentation at the Shalimar Methodist Church Life Enrichment Center on Monday, November 6th at 7:30 p.m. Her tips will cover choosing a secure dating website, what personal information you should never give out initially, the dangers of emailing photos, and much more.

For additional information, please contact Kathleen at 609-2005.
