OCSO SEEKING AGGRAVATED BATTERY SUSPECT

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a Fort Walton Beach man responsible for an aggravated battery Friday morning at 638 Virginia Oak Court .

27-year old Vincente Singleterry is also sought on active warrants of failure to appear on original charges of burglary and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Deputies were called to Virginia Oak Court around 7 a.m. Friday morning after a neighbor said a woman showed up at his town home beaten and bloody. The victim said Singleterry was responsible, and was armed with a gun at her townhome with two small children inside as well. She was taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center for treatment.

The Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team responded to the scene. One of the children exited the townhome unharmed. A short time later, the S-R-T unit went in and recovered the second child unharmed as well. Singleterry had fled the scene prior to the deputies arrival.

He’s believed to be armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 850-863-TIPS or the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office at 850-651-7400.
