HURRICANE SURVIVOR GUIDE AVAILABLE ON-LINE

View Hurricane Survival Guide

Residents who’d like one-stop shopping on “How to be a Hurricane Survivor” can check out a comprehensive guide now available on the website of the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office. You’ll not only learn some facts about hurricanes, but also what to do to protect your loved ones and property before, during, and after a storm.

You’ll find evacuation routes,  items needed for a family disaster supply kit, pet-protection materials, how to inventory your property, insurance tips, ways to help children cope with storms, links to other hurricane-savvy sites, important numbers for additional preparedness information, and much more.

With the onset of hurricane season just around the corner, make sure you add www.sheriff-okaloosa.org to your list of favorites on your computer. Just click on “Hurricane Safety” under Community Information and the guide is listed at the top of the page.

Get ready – and stay safe!
