SEXUAL
ASSAULT INVESTIGATION
37-year old
Devery Lane
Taylor
, a captain stationed at Eglin Air Force Base, has been apprehended by the Air
Force Office of Special Investigation and could face criminal charges of sexual
assault. The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office assisted O-S-I in
executing a search warrant Wednesday at
Taylor
’s
Okaloosa
Island
home (
311 Bluefish Drive, Apartment 4
).
The investigation was prompted by allegations by a man who says he met
Taylor
at an establishment on
Okaloosa
Island
March 23rd. He believes
Taylor
drugged him, making him incapacitated - then sexually assaulted him at
Taylor
’s home. A second person has come forward and reported a similar type
incident.
Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding these cases, or any
others, to contact the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Criminal
Investigations Division at 850-609-2000.
