STALKING SUSPECT SOUGHT

Investigators with the Okaloosa Sheriff ’s Office are looking for a Pensacola man on a charge of aggravated stalking.

A warrant has been issued for 55–year-old Jimmy Lamar Birge. He is accused of approaching a worker at a Santa Rosa Mall retail shop last November and making sexual propositions. The woman says he returned to her workplace again January 21st and gestured to her that he was watching her.

Aggravated stalking is a third degree felony and is defined by Florida statutes as the following: Any person who willfully, maliciously, and repeatedly follows, harasses, or cyber stalks another person, and make a credible threat with the intent to place that person in reasonable fear of death or bodily injury commits the offense of aggravated stalking.

Anyone with information on Birge’s whereabouts is asked to call Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 850-863-TIPS or the Okaloosa Sheriff ’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 850-609-2000.
